Chapter Philanthropy

The money raised by the Phi Mu chapter at Tulane University stays locally to benefit the New Orleans Children's Hospital.  Phi Mus at Tulane have the opportunity to volunteer at the New Orleans Children's Hospital several times a semester, playing games and making crafts with the children there.

Our award-winning philanthropy fundraiser is the Tulane University Dance Marathon, which raised over $30,000 for the Children's Hospital this fall.  After paying a minimal entry fee and raising as much money as possible, participants are invited to join us for a night of dancing, singing, eating, playing games, and winning great prizes.  All funds go directly to Children's Hospital because we dance for those who cannot.  For more information, email us at philanthropy@tulanephimu.com.

Phi Mu also participates in several local philanthropies including Boo at the Zoo and Relay for Life. This fall Phi Mu participated in Tulane Panhellenic Council's Greek Groove, and even one first place in the dance competition. Last year Phi Mu participated in the Beautify Broadway service event to revitalize the Broadway community. The Phi Mu experience gives its members the opportunity to give back to Tulane and the New Orleans community.
